Criminology is the study of crime and criminals, a discipline in both the social and behavioural sciences. You will learn how criminal justice system upholds the law, through commitment, diligence and firm procedures. In addition, you will learn the causes of crimes and its impact on the victims; the society; the criminal themselves; and their families. The study of criminology has led to improvement of how to treat both victims of crimes or criminal, therefore assisting psychological assessments, one-on-one counseling and group therapy.
